Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on September 21 of 1983 in Worthington, Ohio, is an American actor. Maggie Grace is most well-known for her roles as Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills respectively on ABC's Lost television show. The couple had separated and she relocated with her mother in Los Angeles. Even though she had financial difficulties in 2001, her debut came in the role of Rachel's Room's primary character. The film for television Murder in Greenwich, in which she played a 15-year-old Martha Moxley earned her the nomination for the Young Artist Award. Grace played Shannon Rutherford on the Lost TV show in 2004. She was the main character for two seasons and was awarded a Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace wanted to focus on film following her role as Tom Welling's character on The Fog, in 2005. The actress has also appeared as Kim Mills in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club as well in 2007 and in Taken alongside Liam Neeson in 2008 as Kim Mills. The same character was played by Grace in Taken 2 and Taken 3 (both in 2012). Grace returned to the Lost series for the last two episodes playing Shannon. Grace appeared in Californication's 6th season that aired from 2013 until 2014. She portrays Faith, who is an admirer and muse to the actors. As a part of the Gyllenhaal Family she is the daughter and elder sister of the actor Jake Gyllenhaal. She began her career as a teenager with small appearances in the films of her father and starred alongside her brother in the popular cult film Donnie Darko (2001). The next film she appeared in was Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind in 2002, as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal received praise from critics for her lead performances in Secretary (2002 the erotic romance drama) as well as Sherrybaby (606) Both of which garnered their Golden Globe Award nods. The actress gained more attention for her role as Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008) as well as a number of successful commercial films she starred in in 2006. She also was awarded the Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.
