Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania. She is an actress from Germany and Romania. Her most famous films are Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra Maria Lara the sole son of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. At the age of 16, Alexandra played the leading role in several dramas on television. Her critically acclaimed performance in the made-for-television film Der Tunnel paved way for other notable roles including Secretary to Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge, in the critically and commercially successful Oscar nominated war-time drama film Downfall. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are the other Oscar nominees featuring female stars. Alexandra is well known for her involvement in many noteworthy projects both domestically and internationally. These include British biographical Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time as well as the French historic miniseries Napoleon among others. In addition, she was a member of the jury of the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
